How to Make a Simplest Electric Motor

We use a lot of electric motors in our daily life, like computer, phone, electric fan, refrigerator, air conditioner, all these appliances have electric motor. But do you know how to make a simple electric motor? I will show you a simplest one here.

Step 1: Prepare the Materials

You will need 3 stuffs here:

1. A piece of copper wire
2. An AA battery
3. A small neodymium disc magnet

Step 2: Shape the Copper Wire

Bend the copper wire into an oval shape, Create a smooth contact on both ends of the copper wire.

Step 3: Assemble the Motor

Attach the Positive end of the battery to the magnets. Put the Copper wire on the Battery and the magnet; make sure the wire is connected to both the negative end of the battery and surface of the magnets.
